The human being as a force of his own evolution and mutation

Biliana K. Voden Aboutaam, always in search of new conquests of new territories, is taking us in an unprecedented trip into the digital material.
The artist has envisaged a new unexpected approach, by clearing a third step of dematerialisation starting from an original model, as per her now exploratory and panting approach.
The theme of this new exhibition, - the anatomy of the human being -, has already raised the interest for the artist in a series named “Renaissance – the leonardesque room”. Her interest for Leonardo da Vinci and the studies he has conducted in connection with the proportions of the human body already interpellated Biliana K. Voden Aboutaam.

The present research is leading her, though, far from the human being. With the fusion of information inherent to man and woman altogether, each one characterized by his/her diverse components, stomach, liver, head, kidneys, legs, arms and other constituting elements, and also multiplied by themselves, result in a monumental accumulation of information, with numberless superposed layers, in the sense of geological layers.

The first step of the work gave birth to a series of ink jet paintings on vinyle canvas, the second one to a digital sculpture in hologram 3D. And the incredible adventure of the third step, designated by the artist as “digital sculpture in augmented reality APP”, offers the possibility to penetrate inside the digital material and observe what is going on.

At the occasion of the vernissage, and only at this occasion, it will be possible to penetrate into a NON SPOT, in connection with the space of the gallery, to plunge into this intangible and mysterious material, to travel into an illusionary space, where the notions of volume, darkness or light are non existent. It is a world without frame, out of traditional references, an utopist approach focusing more on the substance of things than their appearance.
It will be a unique experiment, a unique moment ending at 09.00 pm, at the closing of the vernissage.

Biliana K. Voden Aboutaam lives and works in Geneva (Switzerland) and New York. She is graduated from the Brera Academy in Milan (1999). Since 2000, exhibitions in New York, Venice, Nyon, Vienna, Marrakech, Sofia, Rome, Istanbul.
